I love seeing something I’ve made and realizing that it could have come out of my mother’s kitchen. This usually happens when I don’t over think a meal but, as she did, just cook it. I had some pork steaks, don’t I always, some leftover homemade teriyaki sauce and potatoes. So I cooked them. Period. Except for the pictures I took at 6:00 p.m. with natural light 😀
Teriyaki Pork Steaks with Pan Fried Potatoes
4 pork steaks, seasoned with salt and pepper
Home made teriyaki sauce yours or mine http://atomic-temporary-17826715.wpcomstaging.com/2012/06/19/teriyaki-rib-steak-with-wax-beans/
2-3 large potatoes, diced
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Parsley, chopped
Pour the teriyaki sauce over the pork steaks and set aside. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Pour a Jamie glug of olive oil in a skillet, heat and add the potatoes, salt, pepper and cook until brown and crusty. Set aside.
Remove the pork steaks from the marinade and place on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast for 25 minutes, turn, brush with marinade, then roast for another 10-15 minutes.
Reheat the potatoes, sprinkle with the parsley and serve with the pork steaks and a couple of slices of tomatoes.
Beverage suggestion: Hard cider
Looks lovely. I’m very fond of teriyaki and the potatoes look delish.
Thank you Susan.
That looks really rather nice and I love the serving suggestion! I love cider 😀
Thank you Frugal.
love pork. love teriyaki. looks like your Mom had it right. 🙂
Thank you. Pork and teriyaki does work well together 🙂
You are hungry today! Great recipe, especially the homemade sauce 😉
With school no longer in session, our daughter, who normally eats her lunch in the cafeteria, still likes to see 3 meals a day. Small girl, field hand appetite. I don’t mind 🙂
It’s great and nice to have someone to cook for 😉
That’s the point!
Perfect – mums know best!
Yes!
Oh, those tomatoes got my attention too!
This looks like a winning combination of flavors. Thanks for sharing!
The sauce sounds divine.
I liked it myself 🙂
