Have you ever bought those prepared horseradish sauces in the supermarket? I have, and I must tell you , no more! This sauce is an unctuous blend of horseradish, Dijon mustard, creme fraiche and whipped cream. Prime rib/steak ready!
Horseradish Sauce
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup creme fraiche
1/3 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup horseradish
Whip the cream and creme fraiche together until peaks are formed. Blend in the mustard and horseradish. Serve with prime rib or steak.

I tried to whip the two creams together but they would not thicken up. Should I have done the whipping cream separately and then have added the crème fraiche?
Hi. you could try this separately, whipping the cream first and then folding the creme fraiche in, that should work but I am sure that I whipped them together.
