Cooking for Jade

Today was Jade’s 14th birthday.  Her dad arranged a break from work to be here and to bring the presents I ordered on internet 🙂

I love cooking, yes, but I super love cooking for my family.   When asked if she wanted to go to a restaurant or if she wanted me to cook, she chose me!  Her preference was for honey mustard fried chicken and Japanese potato salad –    http://atomic-temporary-17826715.wpcomstaging.com/2011/02/06/honey-mustard-fried-chicken-with-japanese-potato-salad/

They ate with gusto, and so did I, but my satisfaction was mainly in their enjoyment of the meal and each other.
