Salmon Anytime, Anyway

I bought a nice, big piece of salmon yesterday at Leclerc’s.  It was a difficult decision because they had a beautiful, small piece of Irish salmon also.   I asked Jade and she voted for big.   It was unanimous.

That’s the thing about salmon; it’s not like getting and eating a big piece of pork (Brian). It’s fish and it’s good for you.  Simply cooked, the simpler the better, it is a fantastic meal!   Also, it tastes really, really good.

I went for the old 2 tablespoons of tamari soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of mirin, 2 tablespoons of sake marinade, put it in a ziplock bag, squished it around and waited for 30 minutes.

A little fry up in butter and olive oil or grilled.   I prefer grilled, but the grill people are not here and the gas bottle adapter needs to be changed to French style.  You could also cook this “en papillotte” on a bed of sliced leeks.   Next time.

Et voila!   Pop it on a bed of mixed greens and pass the baguette and chardonnay. Anytime, anyway!

    • Merci loloche. Mais je cherche, toujour, le meilleur photos. Les photos etaient un peu rouge. Je vais continuer pour un otre six mois avec mon “point and shoot” et apres je vais acheter un meilleur appareil photo.
