Another bin bargain, I bought 4 pork steaks for 4 Euros! You really have to get there early. One lady had an armload of lamb chops, steaks, chickens and pork roasts. The only reason I got the pork steaks was that she couldn’t load another package in her arms.
Salt, pepper and flour the pork steaks. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a baking pan, add the pork steaks and bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes, turning the steaks after 25 minutes.
Slice 2 or 3 scallions and about 1/2 lb of mushrooms. Saute in 1 tablespoon of butter until just heated through. Pour over the top of the pork steaks.
Serve with a mixed salad and a Cabernet Sauvignon.
